The Second National Student Conference of the Palestine Solidarity Movement adopted a resolution calling for a national day of action on November 13, 2002, to call attention to Israeli apartheid and call upon our universities to divest from Israel!

Across the country, divestment campaigns have mobilized faculty, staff and students in a campaign reminiscent of the 1980s call for divestment from apartheid South Africa. Committees have called upon their universities, through their investment power, to stop supporting the immoral, illegal policies of the state of Israel against the Palestinian people.

The campaign for divestment has come as well with a campaign for corporate boycotts. From Caterpillar Corporation, whose bulldozers have destroyed Palestinian civilians' homes, to Starbucks Coffee, corporations engaged in extensive business with the Israeli state and within the Occupied Territories have become the target of boycotts and protests calling upon consumers to use their power to force change in corporate policy.

This website's purpose is to announce actions planned for November 13, 2002, provide a means of contact and coordination, and to provide reports about those events.
