All welcome!
While Palestinians are murdered in Gaza, while US-made weapons rain death
and destruction upon Palestinian refugee camps, while five million
Palestinian refugees are prohibited from returning home, what spectrum of
debate on Palestine is presented in the US elections?
"When I am President of the United States, my promise to the people of
Israel will be this: We will never pressure you to compromise your
security. We will never expect you to negotiate for peace without a
credible partner. And we will always work to provide the political and
military and economic help for your fight against terror." - John Kerry
"Israel has faced a different situation as a small country in a tough
neighborhood. The Israeli people have always had enemies at their borders
and terrorists close at hand. Again and again, Israel has defended itself
with skill and heroism....The United States is strongly committed, and I
am strongly committed, to the security of Israel as a vibrant Jewish
state." - George W. Bush
Join New Jersey Solidarity-Activists for the Liberation of Palestine for a
discussion and forum on the 2004 elections, US politics, and the
Palestinian struggle for national liberation. Join us to find out what the
candidates have to say about Palestine - and how that fits into the
history of US imperialism and support for Zionist colonialism in
Palestine. Discuss what's happening today - and how we can work, no matter
what the result of the elections, for justice in Palestine. Bring your
thoughts and questions about the two-party system, the 2004 elections,
Palestine, and what we in the US can do to challenge colonialism in
Palestine and the suppression of Palestinian voices.

Palestine Contingent at the Million Worker March!
|
Noon
Lincoln Memorial
Washington, D.C.
On Sunday, October 17, 2004, a historic march will take place, bringing
together the labor movement and the antiwar movement to call for justice
at home and around the world! This march, the Million Worker March, is a
massively important undertaking, mobilizing workers from across the US to
stand in solidarity with one another and workers around the world, and
needs the broadest support and solidarity possible!
In Palestine, Palestinian workers are struggling for justice in their
homeland. Throughout the history of the Palestinian national liberation
movement, Palestinian workers have been at the forefront of that struggle,
organizing unions and strikes and giving their lives in the fight for
dignity and justice in Palestine. Palestinian workers around the world
have struggled against oppression and exploitation and for their right
-and the right of all refugees - to return to Palestine!
Workers in the US and workers in Palestine are natural allies, yet for far
too long, the labor movement in the US has stood aside in the face of
apartheid and oppression and while trade union movements around the world
have supported the cause of Palestine, the full potential of an alliance
between US workers and Palestinians fighting the same enemies and
oppressors has not been realized. The historic Million Worker March is
time to change all that!
Join the Palestine Contingent at the Million Worker March to join a labor
fightback from Palestine to the US and raise our voices in unity for
justice for workers everywhere in the world, liberation for Palestine, and
return for Palestinians! We call on all Palestine community and Palestine
solidarity groups to join the Million Worker March on Sunday, October 17
carrying the banner of labor and the flag of Palestine high, united and
proud!

Hear the voices of sorrow and hope and view the lives of oppression and
resilience of Palestinian children today in these two films.
The Cage- 52 minutes - Director Fathi A. Ali, 2003. A documentary about children
in Al Ama'ari refugee camp (near Ramallah), this film shows Fathi A. Ali,
director of this film, producer and playwright, working with the children on a
theatre play. His plan is to do a play about the five senses, but the children
suggest to do a play about their own lives, about the lives of children in
Palestine under the occupation. This is a film of the truth of children, their
experiences and their desire for a world and a nation free of its cage.
Sawreena - 20 minutes - Cairo to Camps, 2003. A view of Palestinian children’s
creativity and resilience in the Shatila and Bourj el-Barajneh refugee camps as
filmed by an Arab students’ delegation that worked with young people there.

EMERGENCY DEMO: STOP THE MASSACRES IN GAZA!
|
4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Outside the Israeli Consulate
42nd St. and 2nd Ave.
New York City, NY
STOP THE MASSACRES IN GAZA!
END COLONIAL OCCUPATION IN IRAQ, PALESTINE AND EVERYWHERE!
RIGHT OF RETURN FOR PALESTINIAN REFUGEES!
In the past week of brutal Zionist military assaults upon the Gaza Strip
in Palestine, over 80 Palestinians, including more than 20 children, have
been murdered by the invading army. Hundreds of Palestinians have been
injured, and many children have been left permanently disabled.
These massacres have been committed with the full support and approval of
the US government, as it carries out its own brutal colonial occupation of
Iraq. The US has continued to provide the arms and aid to the Zionist
regime that have gone to slaughter the children of Jabaliya, while vetoing
UN resolutions that attempt to speak out against the massacres in Gaza.
Jabaliya refugee camp, the center of this attack, is home to over 120,000
Palestinian refugees, forced from their homes and lands in 1948 by
invading Zionist armies and prohibited from returning home ever since.
Jabaliya camp and the surrounding towns, Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahiya and
Jabaliya town, are in Northern Gaza, one of the most densely populated
areas in the world, and now subject to all-out military assault upon their
civilian population. Dozens of homes have been bulldozed, and three
schools, including a society for disabled children. The electrical,
agricultural, transportation and sewage infrastructure has been torn apart
and the entire area subject to random shelling.
The Zionist colonial quest for the land and resources of Palestine has
been continuing for over 56 years in this brutal manner. These massacres
must stop! The US government must stop supporting colonial occupation in
Palestine, and end its own colonial occupation of Iraq, and its massacres
against the people of Iraq!
JOIN US on Friday, October 8 from 4-6 PM outside the Israeli Consulate at
42nd St. and 2nd Avenue in NYC to demand an end to massacre and
occupation, and the right of Palestinian refugees to return home!

Director Hany Abu Assad, 2002
Shooting on location in East Jerusalem, Ramallah and at checkpoints in-between, Palestinian director Hany Abu-Assad sees Palestine through the eyes of a young woman who, with only ten hours to marry, must negotiate her way around roadblocks, soldiers, stone-throwers, overworked officials ... and into the heart of an elusive lover.
This timely feature that explores love among the ruins of an occupied territory was presented with the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival's 2003 Nestor Almendros Prize for courage in filmmaking.
According to Abu-Assad, "When the abnormalities of barriers and occupation become an everyday reality, normal things like love and marriage turn into fiction. This is life in Palestine right now. I wanted to challenge it through cinema."
Winner of the Best Actress award at the 2002 Marrakesh International Film Festival (for Clara Khoury's affecting performance), Rana's Wedding premiered during the 2002 International Critic's Week at Cannes and has been a festival favorite in Palm Springs, Montreal, Rio de Janeiro, Cairo and London.

We will gather on the University Green at the center of campus and ultimately make our way to the Walsh Gym.
On Wednesday, September 29, 2004 - on the fourth anniversary of the
beginning of the second Intifada - Seton Hall University will be honoring
war criminal and former Zionist Prime Minister Shimon Peres. JOIN US to
declare that Zionist apartheid and war crimes and their architects are NOI
WELCOME and should NOT be honored!
Shimon Peres, former Zionist Prime Minister, poses as a man of peace, when
in reality he is a war criminal, occupier and oppressor! One of the
leading architects of the Zionist nuclear program, the butcher of the Qana
massacre, and a lifelong supporter and perpetrator of war crimes against
the Palestinian people, Shimon Peres is a criminal who has engaged in,
directed and fully supported the most brutal of assaults against the very
existence of the Palestinian people in Palestine. He is a former Prime
Minister of a state whose very existence is built on the dispossession of
Palestinians and the occupation of Palestinian land, and a lifelong
opponent of Palestinian refugees' right to return home. JOIN US on
Wednesday, September 29, 2004 to say NO to Peres and demand Justice in
Palestine! Bring your family and friends, and bring your Palestinian
flags, signs and keffiyehs!
SHIMON PERES' HISTORY OF WAR CRIMES:
- Shimon Peres has been part of the Zionist military machine since 1947; as
a member of the Haganah, he took part in the war against the Palestinian
people (the Nakba) of 1947-48..
- Shimon Peres headed the Zionist navy and then served as a major official
in the Defense Ministry, where he increased weapons production and began
the official Israeli nuclear program, leaving today's Zionist state a
massive military power with nuclear weapons to threaten its neighbors.
- Shimon Peres was one of the architects of the apartheid Oslo Accords,
attempting to create a Bantustanized Palestinian population.
- Shimon Peres supports, and has always supported, the illegal and brutal
Zionist occupation of Palestine! As Prime Minister and Defense Minister in
fellow war criminal Ariel Sharon's government, Shimon Peres has supported
illegal settlements and waged a constant war upon the people of Palestine.
He supported the most brutal assaults of the Sharon government upon
Palestinians in addition to his own.
- Shimon Peres is the butcher of Qana! In 1996, Peres masterminded a
massive Israeli bombing campaign in Lebanon, including the bombing of a UN
peacekeeping base in the village of Qana where several hundred Lebanese
refugees took shelter. The Israeli bombs massacred 102 civilians and
injured more than 120 others.
- Shimon Peres is a lifelong opponent of Palestinian refugees' right to
return to their homes and lands.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO SAY SHIMON PERES SHOULD NOT BE HONORED AND THAT WAR
CRIMINALS ARE NOT WELCOME?
- PROTEST on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, at 3:00 PM, at the Walsh Gymnasium
at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. Bring your Palestinian
flags, your voices and your dedication to justice!
- ENDORSE and HELP MOBILIZE for the PROTEST! Join in the call to protest,
mobilize your members and fellow activists to say NO to war criminal
Shimon Peres at Seton Hall University! Email info@newjerseysolidarity.org
or call 973-954-2521 to endorse and get involved!!
- CALL Seton Hall University and demand that they cancel their awarding
of an honorary degree to Shimon Peres! Call the office of the President,
Monsignor Robert Sheeran, at (973) 761-9620 or email sheeraro@shu.edu !
- CALL the Whitehead School of Diplomacy, sponsor of Peres' visit at
(973) 275-2515 and demand they stop holding up war criminals as examples
of "diplomacy" and instead honor those who struggle for justice and
freedom in Palestine and around the world!
- JOIN US on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. The Palestinian
community, Palestine solidarity activists and ALL people concerned with
justice, equality and freedom in Palestine and around the world must make
their voices heard loud and clear: NO TO WAR CRIMINALS! FREEDOM FOR
PALESTINE! RIGHT OF RETURN! NO TO SHIMON PERES!

On the twenty-second anniversary of the massacres of Sabra and Shatila, join New
Jersey Solidarity - Activists for the Liberation of Palestine to mourn the
victims of the massacre, honor their memory, and continue the struggle for
justice and return for Palestinian refugees and all of Palestine.
From September 16-18, 1982, the Sabra and Shatila Refugee Camp Massacres,
considered the bloodiest single atrocity committed against the Palestinian
people in living history, took place. Nearly 3,000 Palestinian men, women and
children were massacred in the Sabra and Shatila camps in Beirut while the city
was occupied by the invading Zionist army. The principal war criminal bearing
responsibility for the massacres is Ariel Sharon - in 1982, Israeli Minister of
Defense, and today, the Prime Minister of the Zionist state, and continuing his
war crimes and massacres against the people of Palestine on a daily basis.
Join us for a vigil in memory of the fallen of 1982, and of the victims of over
56 years of oppression, and to reaffirm that these massacres will never stop or
defeat the struggle of the Palestinian people; then join us for a special
presentation by artist and activist Andrew Courtney, documentary photographer,
who will take viewers on a graphic journey into the lives of Palestinian
refugees in Lebanon, formally known worldwide as the "Forgotten Ones". We will
conclude the evening with a showing of "Children of Shatila," director Mai
Masri's look at the lives of the children of Shatila camp. Fifty years after
the exile of their grandparents from Palestine, the children of Shatila attempt
to come to terms with the reality of being refugees in a camp that has survived
massacre, siege and starvation.
Join us on September 20, to honor those who were massacred and continue the
struggle for justice, liberation and return for all Palestinian refugees.

traditional Palestinian music. The group will be in Montreal as part of a North American tour with stops in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, New Jersey,
New York and DC.
The Al-Awda group is part of the Zaitoun Association which was formed in
Palestine by artists and musicians from the Galilee in 2000. The Zaitoun
Association's goal is to preserve Palestinian culture and work on
deepening ties between Palestinians and their culture. The name "Zaitoun"
in Arabic means olives. It was chosen to demonstrate Palestinians strong
attachment to their land, particularly to the olive tree with all the
symbolism of resistance, history and culture it carries.
Through their music Al-Awda aims to express the feeling of Palestinian
suffering and resistance through music written in complex Arabic notes.
The group specializes in singing and playing traditional cultural songs,
in addition to modern music. Al-Awda's music is also viewed as a cultural
representation of the central issue to the ongoing Palestinian liberation
struggle, the right of return for refugees to 1948 Palestine.

While the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela faces renewed attack, view
this film for an incisive, behind-the-scenes look at the Venezuelan coup
of 2002 - and the massive response of the people! Essential viewing to
understand Venezuela, its revolution, and the "referendum" today!
See the award-winning film that takes you inside the attempted Venezuelan
coup of 2002 - and the people's response! Hugo Chavez, elected President
of Venezuela in 1998, is a colorful folk hero, beloved by his nation's
working class and a tough-as-nails, quixotic opponent to the power
structure that would see him deposed. Two independent filmmakers were
inside the presidential palace on April 11, 2002, when he was forcibly
removed from office. They were also present 48 hours later when,
remarkably, he returned to power amid cheering aides. Their film records
what was probably history's shortest-lived coup d'tat. It's a unique
document about political muscle and an extraordinary portrait of the man

Directions:
BY CAR:
From Garden State Parkway
- From northbound Garden State Parkway, take Exit #155 (to Route 80 and
Route 19). Exit onto Route 19 North. Follow Route 19 about 3 miles. As
the road ends stay in the left lane going towards "Downtown Paterson".
Route 19 becomes Ward Street. Proceed through 4 lights; at the fifth
light (Memorial Street) turn left. Continue through three lights; turn
right at the fourth light onto Broadway (also known as Martin Luther King
Boulevard). Proceed approximately 1/2 mile. The library will be on your
right. Go past the library; turn right onto Summer Street; right onto Van
Houten; right into the parking lot.
- From southbound Garden State Parkway, take the exit onto Route 80 West
which is just after the Bergen Toll. Take Route 80 West to Exit 58B
(Madison Ave., Paterson). Continue on Madison Avenue to Broadway,
approximately 7 traffic lights. Turn left onto Broadway, (westbound) and
continue for three traffic lights. Make a left onto Summer Street
(directly after the 3rd traffic light), and then immediately right onto
Van Houten Street, from which you will be able to enter the parking lot in
the rear of the library.
From Route #46 East
- From eastbound Route 46 - about one mile past the Route 46/Route 3 split -
take the exit marked Broad Street (this is immediately before the ramp to
the Garden State Parkway North). At the end of the exit ramp turn left
onto Route 19/Broad Street. Follow Route 19 about 3 miles. As the road
ends stay in the left lane going towards "Downtown Paterson". Route 19

From Route #46 West

PARKWAY! Follow Route 19 about 3 miles. As the road ends stay in the
left lane going towards "Downtown Paterson". Route 19 becomes Ward

March to 5th Avenue at 59th Street
New York City
CALL TO ACTION ISSUED BY THE ENDORSERS OF THE NYC FREEDOM MARCH
Sat. 7/31 12:00 noon.
On July 30, Palestinian, Israeli, and international activists will begin a
3-week Freedom March along the route of the Apartheid Wall from Jenin to
Jerusalem. The resistance in Palestine has asked supporters of a free Palestine
all over the world to plan actions in support of the Freedom March.
On Saturday, July 31, Palestine solidarity activists in New York will march in
Manhattan from 7th Ave. at 39th Street (where the needle and button statue is)
to 5th Avenue at 59th Street in opposition to the Israeli army´s illegal
Apartheid Wall and in support of the courageous Palestinian resistance to the
ghettoization of the West Bank. Our action begins at 12:00 noon. Our rally at
5th Avenue will include speakers calling in from the march in Palestine.
We are demanding that the Israeli government dismantle the Apartheid Wall
immediately, and compensate Palestinians whose property was destroyed by the
Wall. We demand an end to Israeli Army attacks on non-violent demonstrators.
We demand an end to the Occupation, and full implementation of the Palestinian
Right to Return.
Join us! The NYC Freedom March is endorsed by Jews Against the Occupation/NYC,
Al-Awda/NY-NJ, SUSTAIN/NYC, the NY Committee to Defend Palestine, and New York
City Labor Against the War. For more information, or to join the construction
party to make signs for the march and rally, contact Marjorie at

|

New York, NY
NYC Subway Directions: Take the N or R to Whitehall St./South Ferry, or the 4 train to Bowling Green.
Party for The Show: MADE IN PALESTINE
Museums in the greater New York area have refused to host a show of 22
leading Palestinian artists.
Now it is our turn, not only as Arab-Americans, but more importantly as
supporters of Palestinian rights, to bring the show, MADE IN PALESTINE,
to the heart of New York. Support the rights of these artists, and all
Palestinians, to be seen as multi-faceted humans--artists and creators
as well as Palestinians.
Aljisser Group, in collaboration with Tribes Gallery, calls on the
Arab-American community, on art lovers, and on supporters of freedom of
expression to rise to the challenge and help bring this show, curated
by the distinguished museum director James Harithas, to Manhattan.
Please join us at Alwan for the first fund-raiser to make this show
possible. The event will feature music, dancing, and poetry reading as
well as food and light drinks. It will also give you a chance to see
pictures from the show, which was a major success during its six month
stay in Houston last year. The show catalogue will be also available
for sale.
Please join and help make the first comprehensive Palestinian art show
in New York possible.

County Hall of Records

MARCH FOR HUMAN RIGHTS FOR ALL!
STOP THE ATTACKS ON IMMIGRANTS!
END DETENTION AND TORTURE!
FREE ALL THE DETAINEES NOW!
Within the United States, thousands of immigrants, both undocumented and permanent residents, are now being illegally detained without charge, subjected to attacks by dogs, to beatings and to humiliations, torn from their homes. In Freehold, immigrants have begun to fight back, resisting efforts to drive them out of town and organizing for their right to work and to raise working and living standards. But immigrants can only win through unity with all who live here.
Abuse and torture are inevitable in any system of arbitrary detention. Only the protections of the Bill of Rights – no detention without charge, no forced questionings, no double jeopardy, no secret proceedings or "military tribunals"– stand in the way of police-state tactics. When these protections are flouted, torture results.
The detentions here are part of a War OF Terror on immigrants, depriving them of their ability to protest their living and working conditions. To end terror, to end torture, ALL the detainees, here and abroad, must be freed.
First they came for the immigrants, but ALL OF OUR RIGHTS ARE ON THE LINE!

TEAR DOWN THE APARTHEID WALL!!
EMERGENCY INFORMATION AND ACTION AGAINST THE APARTHEID WALL!
|
5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Palmer Square (click for map)
Princeton, NJ
On Friday, July 9, 2004, the International Court of Justice at the Hague
will release its opinion on the Apartheid Wall currently being constructed
in Palestine. The Apartheid Wall is confiscating Palestinian land,
separating Palestinians from one another, and imprisoning the population
of the West Bank into giant walled prison ghettos - and it is being paid
for by US tax dollars. Every day, the US government provides the
equivalent of $15 million in tax aid to the state of Israel. Also, many
major Palestinian national figures are currently engaging in a hunger
strike initiated by 1948 Palestine parliamentarian Azmi Bishara at Ar-Ram,
a village outside Jerusalem, demanding an end to the construction of the
Apartheid Wall.
The Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Committee has called for
international solidarity and action on July 9 and 10 to highlight the
crimes of the Apartheid Wall.
JOIN US on FRIDAY JULY 9 to say:
Tear down the Apartheid Wall!
Stop the Occupation!
Sanctions and Boycott on Apartheid Israel!
Justice for Palestine!
Whatever the content of the decision of the ICJ, we must publicize and
expose the crimes of apartheid committed in Palestine and bring the voice
of Palestine to the attention of the world.

There is a crisis in Rafah, a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip of Palestine. In the past week, dozens of Palestinians, including today, ten schoolchildren marching in a protest against occupation, have been massacred by Zionist military forces. Hundreds of homes have been demolished, and thousands of Palestinians have been left homeless. This relentless, criminal assault on the Palestinian people is being funded by our tax dollars! Israel receives the largest foreign aid allotment of any nation - over $15 million daily, and uses US weapons to slaughter Palestinians and destroy their homes.

Film Showing: "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised"

Campbell Hall, Room A-5

New Brunswick, NJ
Rutgers University - College Avenue Campus
See the award-winning film that takes you inside the attempted Venezuelan coup of 2002 - and the people's response!
Hugo Chavez, elected President of Venezuela in 1998, is a colorful folk hero, beloved by his nation's working class and a
tough-as-nails, quixotic opponent to the power structure that would see him
deposed. Two independent filmmakers were inside the presidential palace on April 11, 2002, when he was forcibly removed from office. They were also
present 48 hours later when, remarkably, he returned to power amid cheering aides. Their film records what was probably history's shortest-lived coup d'état. It's a unique document about political muscle and an extraordinary portrait of the man The Wall Street Journal credits with making Venezuela "Washington's biggest Latin American headache after the old standby, Cuba."

Memorial
7:30 p.m.

5606 6th Avenue
Brooklyn, NY
New Jersey Solidarity, AL-AWDA NY-NJ and many others adamantly condemn the cold blooded and cowardly murder of thePalestinian Hero and Martyr, Sheikh Ahmed Yasin.
The savage execution of Sheikh Yasin is yet more evidence of the genocidal objective of the Zionist Entity known as Israel. This act clearly demonstrates the Zionist Entity's intent to remain in occupation, to continue building the Apartheid Wall, and to maintain permanent military and physical control of Palestine.
Nonetheless, the murder of Sheikh Yasin will not stop the resistance of the Palestinian People and their supporters in the fight for survival, independence and return. In fact, this will only serve to strengthen the resolve of Palestinians.
This provocative act of war must not go unaddressed by any government or organization claiming to stand for justice.
As millions in Palestine and across the world stand together in mourning and solidarity, we in NY will stand with them. Tuesday March 23rd at 5pm we will hold a demonstration in front of the Zionist Apartheid Israeli Mission which will be followed by a Memorial for the Martyred Sheikh in Bay Ridge, Widdi Catering Hall at 5606 6th avenue Brooklyn at 7:30PM...R train to 59th or 53rd street stop.

DEMAND NO U.S.WAR ON CUBA
The Case of the Five Cubans held unjustly in U.S. federal prisons has reached a critical stage. On March 10th in Miami, lawyers for the Five will present oral arguments for the appeal before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. This is an urgent moment for the innocent five compañeros. Their sole crime was to defend their beloved country from U.S. orchestrated terrorist attacks on the Cuban people carried out by right-wing fanatics in Florida. The trial and other aspects of the case are all indications that this just struggle must be fought politically and with the support of millions. Your help is decisive!
Meanwhile, the Bush Administration continues to escalate aggression towards Cuba. Ominous reports emanating from the White House and the State Department all spell dangerous times for this Nation. In October, President George Bush announced the formation of a Presidential Commission for Assistance for a Free Cuba. Assistant Secretary of State Roger Noriega, menacingly warned Cuba in January that it must "stop destabilizing democratic Latin American Nations." This is a total fabrication as well as a veiled threat to the emerging Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela. Your support is needed more than ever. Lawyers for the Five have stressed that this is a decisive moment. Come hear details on the case and find out how you can help.
Invited speakers include:
Special Guest: His Excellency Orlando Requeijo Gual, Cuban Ambassador to the United Nations
Keynote Address: Michael Steven Smith, Exec Committee NYC National Lawyers Guild attorney working with Cuban 5 legal team

"Jenin Jenin" (54 minutes) shows the extent to which the prolonged oppression and terror has affected the state of mind of the Palestinian inhabitants of the Jenin refugee camp. Listen to the old men, the children, the doctors and the grieving mothers of Jenin, after the Israeli army's April 2002 attack flattened homes and buried an unknown number of civilians. Bitterness and grief are the prevailing feelings among the majority of the population. Many have lost loved ones or are still searching for victims and belongings among the debris. 'Where is God,' an elderly man desperately wonders when surveying the debris in the Jenin refugee camp.
A little girl, who does not seem to be much older than twelve, tells her story but knows no fear. The ongoing violence in her day-to-day life only nourishes her feelings of hatred and the urge to take revenge. She shouts that the Palestinians will never give up the struggle, that they will keep on producing children who can continue the fight against injustice.
The sad question forces itself on the spectator. What will become of a country, a people when its children are confronted with war and violence from a very early age?
Banned in Israel, "Jenin Jenin" is dedicated to Iyad Samudi, the producer of the film, who was shot dead by Israeli soldiers on June 23rd, 2002, as he returned home after completing the film.

Please join us! We need you to show your solidarity with the call to TEAR
DOWN THE WALL as the International Court of Justice in the Hague holds hearings
on the illegal apartheid wall being constructed in the West Bank. This wall of
apartheid continues to enact Zionist genocidal plans for the transfer and
expulsion of Palestinians from all of their historic homeland and intensifies
further the conditions of occupation, apartheid and oppression under which
Palestinians live.
In response, the Palestinian people have organized, demonstrated, conducted
strikes and continued to resist this wall - 25 feet high, concrete and steel -
as it further ravages their land and their communities.
On Monday, February 23, the International Court of Justice will hold hearings
on this illegal wall. However, whatever decision emerges will be one the
court is powerless to enforce. Meanwhile, the United States continues to provide
the Zionist state with $15 million dollars in tax aid daily to further occupy,
oppress and devastate Palestinian land, families and communities.
On this occasion, the people of Palestine will hold strikes, vigils,
education sessions, forums and marches to mobilize against the wall. It is incumbent
upon us to show our international solidarity with this resistance to the wall
and to all occupation, apartheid and oppression in Palestine and join in the
call: "We will resist the wall until it falls!"
JOIN US at 3 PM for the Mock Apartheid Wall - come, help construct the wall,
leave messages of solidarity, inform passersby, give out literature and answer
questions!
JOIN US AGAIN at 8 PM to learn more about the wall with a presentation
developed by the Palestinian Environmental NGO Network (PENGON) and a new film with
exclusive footage from Palestine!

New Brunswick, NJ
Overview
We've Come Undone is a series of six monologues detailing women's
experiences since 9/11 and especially dealing with the INS Special
Registrations and subsequent detentions and deportations. Since December
2001, male immigrants over the age of 16 from 24 selected countries
(mostly in the Middle East, Asia, and North Africa) have been forced to
register themselves with the newly formed Department of Homeland Security
(DHS) which includes getting photographed, fingerprinted and documented.
In the meantime many have been held without any charges lodged against
them, without access to legal advice, and even without contact from any of
their relatives. Their detention is indefinite and many have been deported
as well. None of the men detained or deported through the registration
process have had terrorist charges brought against them. Behind this
tragedy, however, lies another: the women and children. The families that
are left behind to gather the pieces of their broken lives are living in
silence, many suffering financially and emotionally as this issue is
shrouded in secrecy.
We've Come Undone puts a face to the silent suffering, the insecurity and
the injustice. It is however, not just a show about the Arab or Muslim
population but one that speaks to the simple humanity in each of us. We as
individuals are still rummaging through the heaps of our notions
tentatively, carefully, as we understand where the events of 9-11, the
recent war, and the rapidly changing domestic and international policies
of the United States have landed us. We've Come Undone explores how we
relate, and struggle to relate to one another now. What happens when lies
and suspicion are allowed to permeate the fabric of our society and embed
into the weave? How does that affect our behavior and who we become,
individually and as a society? We've Come Undone seeks to gather those
loose ends, allowed to dangle for so long, and re-introduce them into the
cultural dialogue through theater.

GAZA STRIP pushes the viewer headlong into the tumult of the Israeli-occupied Gaza, examining the lives and views of ordinary Palestinians.
The documentary often sees the world through the eyes of young people. The central character is Mohammed Hejazi, a 13-year-old paperboy in Gaza City, one of the young "stone-throwers" who risk their lives throwing rocks at Israeli tanks across the barbwire fences. As the newspapers arrive announcing Ariel Sharon's victory in the Israeli elections, Mohammed offers up tirades against Arafat and Sharon alike. We also catch glimpses of his inner world: his sense of hopelessness, his sorrow at the IDF killing of his best friend, his conception of death.
We will also show PALESTINE IS WAITING, a short film about Palestinian refugees and their struggle to return to their homes and lands, featuring refugees living in the US, Europe and the camps of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza.

craft an intense, hallucinogenic and extremely adept exploration of the
dreams and nightmares of Palestinians and Israelis living in uncertain

Subtitled, "A Chronicle of Love and Pain," Divine Intervention follows ES,

is burdened with a sick father, a stalled screenplay and an unrequited
love affair with a beautiful Palestinian woman (Manal Khader) living in

couple to rendezvous in an adjacent parking lot. Their relationship and
the absurd situations around them serve as metaphors for the lunacy of

children, the doctors and the grieving mothers of Jenin, after the Israeli army's April 2002 attack flattened homes and
buried an unknown number of civilians. Bitterness and grief are the
prevailing feelings among the majority of the population. Many have lost
loved ones or are still searching for victims and belongings among the
debris. 'Where is God,' an elderly man desperately wonders when surveying
the debris in the Jenin refugee camp.
A little girl, who does not seem to be much older than twelve, tells her
story but knows no fear. The ongoing violence in her day-to-day life only
nourishes her feelings of hatred and the urge to take revenge. She shouts
that the Palestinians will never give up the struggle, that they will keep
on producing children who can continue the fight against injustice.
The sad question forces itself on the spectator. What will become of a
country, a people when its children are confronted with war and violence
from a very early age?
Banned in Israel, "Jenin Jenin" is dedicated to Iyad Samudi, the producer
of the film, who was shot dead by Israeli soldiers on June 23rd, 2002, as
he returned home after completing the film.
The atrocities in Palestine did not end in Jenin. They continue today.
Find out about the recent atrocities in Nablus and other Palestinian
cities and how you can get involved to help!
